Steffany and I were thrilled to be included in a list of so many prestigious jewelers from across the US. The other honorees are a collection of many of the very finest designer retailers in places like New York, LA, Dallas, Aspen and Washington, DC. Some are internationally famous like Borsheims of Omaha, NE ... the largest independent jeweler in America (Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett are the principal owners of the business). Our greatest point of pride is that Little Rock is home to a jewelry store that has been recognized as one of the very best in the country along with names like Fortunoff's, Nordstrom's and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The JCK show in Las Vegas is now in it's 16th year and is truly where the world's retailers go to shop for jewelry. With over 3,100 vendors and 30,000 attendees, the opportunity of standing out in a crowd of that size is hard to imagine. Yet JCK did notice. After only two years in business, we have been able to catch the eye of many of the world's most talented jewelry designers. We can't carry them all, but the selections we have made at this point have been recognized by our customers as unique and exciting... certainly not what they were used to seeing in Little Rock. And the designers are thrilled with their response.
We are also pleased to be the first jeweler in Arkansas to win this distinction. Our hope is to continue to pursue the greatest artists and bring new things to the people of Central Arkansas. The panel of Designers, Retailers and Editors that chose Kenneth Edwards along with 49 other celebrated Designer Retailers as the best of 2007 have our gratitude and a promise to continue our search for the very best the world has to offer.
